One accountable team for your entire back office.

We run the work behind the business for founders and owner operators who would rather be building it. People, process, technology and compliance, under one team that answers for the result.

Doing this work for five years

Watch the film1 min

We ran the work before we sold it.

Bookkeeping, payroll, and the month end close, run by a team of specialists for other people's companies for five years before this one had four pillars and a name. That's a duller origin than a mission statement and a more useful one: nothing on this site is a theory about how back offices should work.

Most firms sell you one slice. A bookkeeper who never touches your process. An agency that automates a workflow nobody owns. A staffing firm that answers an overloaded owner with one more person, because a person is what it sells.

We started PPTC because that answer almost never holds. Six months later the load is back, since nothing about how the work runs actually changed. So we look across people, process, technology and compliance before recommending anything, and we say plainly when the honest answer costs us the bigger engagement.

Automation is the default here rather than an upsell. Where a task can be removed or run by software, we build it that way, so you're paying for an outcome instead of for somebody to keep doing it by hand.

What we actually believe

Somebody has to be accountable for the back office, and it shouldn't be you.

Almost every arrangement that fails does so in the same place: the work was handed over but the responsibility wasn't. A supplier does their piece, the gaps between the pieces stay yours, and you find out about them late. So the unit we sell isn't hours or seats, it's whether the thing happened.

How an account is staffed

PPTC is a team rather than one person with a name on the door, which is the point: an arrangement that depends on a single individual is the thing we're asking you to stop relying on. This is the shape of it.

Four colleagues working through reports together at a shared desk
One colleague walking another through an account while he takes notes
  1. A named account manager One person who knows your work and answers for it, rather than a shared ticket queue where nobody owns the outcome.
  2. Specialists per pillar Bookkeeping, payroll, automation and filings are done by people who do that work all day, not by one generalist stretched across four jobs.
  3. A trained backup, from day one A second person knows your account before anybody needs them to, so an absence or a resignation is our problem to solve rather than yours.
  4. The know-how written down What they do is documented while they do it, so the understanding of your operation ends up in your business rather than in one head.

We're always looking for strong back office people. See our careers.

Your data, kept secure

Access is requested per system rather than granted in bulk, and stays read only wherever the work allows. A named team is on your account. Preparing and approving stay separate, so on payables we prepare the run and you release it.

If your process needs a security questionnaire completed, send it and we will fill it in. The same commitments sit on the Compliance page.
