Accounting and financial statements

We run a proper month end close and produce financial statements you can make decisions from and hand to anyone who asks.

The difference

The close runs on books that were already reconciled during the month, so statements arrive days after period end instead of weeks.

How we handle your data

  • Your systems stay yours.

The work happens in your own accounts, on your own subscriptions, under your ownership. Nothing leaves the systems you have given us access to.

  • Access is requested, never assumed.

Read only wherever the work allows it, asked for per system rather than granted in bulk, and named per person. Credentials are never shared, and your records never sit on personal devices.

  • Preparing stays separate from approving.

A second person reviews before anything is filed or closed. On payables we prepare the run and you're the one who releases it.

Who it’s for

Owners who need more than bookkeeping. Real financials, closed on a schedule, in a form a lender, a board, or a buyer will accept without sending them back.

How we help

  1. 01 We run a full month end close: journal entries posted, accounts reconciled, trial balance reviewed.
  2. 02 We produce the profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and statement of equity.
  3. 03 We compare actuals against budget, so variances get noticed while you can still act on them.
  4. 04 We analyze margins and trends across periods, rather than handing you one month in isolation.
  5. 05 We explain what the statements say about the business, in plain terms.

What you get

  • A clean close each period, on a predictable date.
  • The four core statements, prepared consistently.
  • Budget against actual, with the variances called out.
  • Margin and trend analysis you can act on.
  • Numbers structured for decisions, not only for filing.

What owners ask about accounting and financial statements

Which financial statements do you produce?

Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and statement of equity, prepared monthly after a full close. We add the specific schedules your accountant, board, lender, or bonding agent expects.

How soon after month end do we get them?

Days, not weeks. Because accounts are reconciled as the month runs, closing is a review rather than a rebuild.

How is this different from bookkeeping?

Bookkeeping records what happened. This turns those records into a closed period and a set of statements that someone outside the business will accept. If you want those numbers cut into views you read weekly, that's financial reporting.

Do you work with our CPA?

Yes. We keep the books and statements clean and hand off for filing, so there's no year end scramble to reconstruct the year.

Can you prepare statements our lender will accept?

Yes. Tell us who is asking and what they expect, and we prepare to that standard. Lenders, bonding agents, and buyers each want the numbers cut differently, and it's easier to build that in than to reformat later. Bonding grade work for construction and trades is a common case.
