Tax prep support and audit readiness
We keep your records organized and defensible year round, prepare your 1099s, and hand your CPA a finished set of books so tax time is calm.
The difference
Because the books are reconciled every week rather than rebuilt in March, tax preparation starts from finished records instead of a three month reconstruction.
Each obligation met ahead of its line
Before you hand anything over
How we handle your data
-
Your systems stay yours.
The work happens in your own accounts, on your own subscriptions, under your ownership. Nothing leaves the systems you have given us access to.
-
Access is requested, never assumed.
Read only wherever the work allows it, asked for per system rather than granted in bulk, and named per person. Credentials are never shared, and your records never sit on personal devices.
-
Preparing stays separate from approving.
A second person reviews before anything is filed or closed. On payables we prepare the run and you're the one who releases it.
Who it’s for
Owners who want to walk into tax season, or an audit, already prepared. If your accountant spends the first month of every year asking questions you can't answer, this is what fixes that.
How we help
- 01 We keep records organized and reconciled year round, so there's a trail behind every number.
- 02 We prepare and file 1099s, and flag contractor relationships that look misclassified before they turn into a penalty. Where you also run payroll with us, both sides are checked against each other.
- 03 We assemble the documentation your accountant or auditor asks for, in the form they ask for it.
- 04 We hand your CPA a finished set of books, so their work starts where it should.
- 05 We answer notices and information requests with records that are already in order.
What you get
- Records ready before anyone requests them.
- 1099s prepared and filed on time.
- A short handoff to your tax preparer instead of a long one.
- Confidence heading into any review.
What owners ask about tax prep support and audit readiness
Do you file our taxes?
We handle sales and local tax filings and prepare 1099s. For income tax we get your books and documentation fully ready and hand off to your CPA or tax preparer, who files the return.
What actually makes an audit easier?
Clean, reconciled records with a clear trail behind every number. When the request comes, the answer is already organized rather than reconstructed under pressure.
What changed for 1099s?
The reporting threshold for contractor payments rises from $600 to $2,000 starting with the 2026 tax year. Penalties apply per form and get steeper the longer a form goes unfiled. We track who crosses the threshold as the year runs, rather than working it out in January.
How do you know if a contractor is misclassified?
We look at how the working relationship actually runs, not at what the contract calls it. Where it looks like employment we tell you, because the exposure includes back taxes and penalties on both the employee and the employer share.
Do you work with our existing CPA?
Yes, and most of our clients keep theirs. We're the layer that keeps records right all year, which usually makes their work faster and cheaper.
